One of the many Greek Islands to welcome visitors, Kefalonia makes a great place to take your villa holiday. Relax on the sandy beaches to the north of the island, or discover some of those secluded bays on Kefalonia's west coast. The beaches on Kefalonia are well looked after, so make a pleasant way to spend a day in the Greek sun. if you wish to experience some history during your stay on Kefalonia, you won't be disappointed; the remains of a Roman villa, Venetian Fortresses and Byzantine Churches can all be found on Kefalonia - while for more recent history, the book "Captain Corelli's Mandolin" was based on Kefalonia, and you maybe keen to explore the area where the book was set.
